Description

City Kat Stories Israeli Flora Calendar features 17 original illustrations depicting Israeli flora, greenery, and vegetation. The calendar and its colorful illustrations were inspired by Meir Shalev’s book; “My Wild Garden: Notes from a Writer’s Eden”, and each month is represented by a different plant, fruit, vegetable. Each of the beautiful images can be framed and saved!

All of the plants featured in the calendar can be found at Israeli gardens, markets, and fields, and each month is represented by a plant that flourishes the most at that time of year. The calendar is a beautiful reflection of what you will find in Israeli kitchens and dinner plates!

The calendar starts from September 2021 and ends in December 2022 of the next year (a year and a half almost) as is customary to do in Israel, reflecting the Jewish year, 5782. It includes all of the Jewish holidays.

The City Kat Stories team created their unique boutique graphic design business with 2 off-the-beaten-path travel guides for 2 of Israel’s most iconic cities, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The City Kat Stories team learned the art of travel and exploration by exploring over 20 countries around the world. After years of airplanes, passport renewals, and discovering new places, they knew that they had something special to offer visitors to Israel.

They created Citykat because they are passionate about good design and travel. They came up with an alternative way to explore Israel. They decided to ditch the maps and guidebooks and start looking for the secret doors, hidden streets and gardens tucked away.

They collected stories from insiders, including; locals, experts, and fellow travelers to provide the best inside scoop on the hidden gems. Thanks to their insight and love of Israel, you too, can travel like a real Israeli City Kat!
