Description

Leah Tal hand paints each beautiful tambourine, which can create a joyful sound and be used as wall art! She has painted her Tree of Life tambourine with vivid colors and a feeling of energy – you can almost see the wind rustling the leaves.

The colorful image of the tree has a border with the phrase from Proverbs 3:18 “A tree of life is for those who hold it, and its supporters are happy,” written in Hebrew.

The drum is made from wood with mother-of-pearl inlay and stretched leather, making it beautiful to look at and wonderful to play.

Leah Tal lives and works in Jerusalem with her husband Ophir and their three beautiful children. Leah established her home and business in Jerusalem because of the city’s sanctity. The name of her art business, Tiferet Eyur, means “Glory of Illustration’ with the word Tiferet carrying a resounding echo of God’s glory.

Living in Jerusalem is important to Leah because she is drawn to the rich spiritual light of the Holy City. As an artist, she is also inspired by this beautiful city’s diversity, colorful energy, and clean air.

Leah was born in Russia, where she first began to paint, entering multiple art competitions. From a young age, she was called to create! She remembers fondly listening to her grandmother tell her stories about the Land of Israel. As she painted, she listened to her grandmother and more and more felt her heart yearning to live in the homeland of her ancestors.

Leah knew that she was finally home after making her aliyah (immigration) to Israel. She fell more in love with Israel and its beautiful places.

She continued her art education in Israel and found herself particularly inspired by the Bible and the landscapes of Israel and Jerusalem. Her paintings are full of life, color, and energy, often featuring Bible verses that she finds particularly meaningful.
