This elegant Biblical figurine depicts two of the twelve spies dispatched by Moses to scout the Holy Land, returning with enormous grapes, fruit from the Holy Land.
While scouting the land, ten of the twelve spies were afraid, and upon their return after forty days scouting, they shared their fears with the twelve tribes. It was Joshua and Caleb who recounted, “The land we passed through to scout is an exceedingly good land. If the L‑rd desires us, He will bring us to this land and give it to us,” Numbers 14:7-8
This beautifully crafted figurine is the perfect way to remember this Bible story and also a great reminder to look at things with a positive eye.
It makes a lovely family keepsake, and it is a thoughtful gift to give to the ones you love to mark special occasions.

The Spies Figurine
Naftali Karshi established Karshi Judaica after he arrived in the fledgling State of Israel in 1955. When Naftali arrived, he settled in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Mamilla in front of the Old City walls. Mamilla was a dangerous neighborhood at that time as it was right next to the border controlled by Jordan!
Naftali began studying goldsmithing in Jerusalem and the exceptional craftsmanship needed to make his beautiful Judaica. His small business developed a reputation for the highest quality handmade items. Naftali drew his inspiration from the Land of Israel and his family’s strong ties to their Jewish faith.
Today the business is under the leadership of his son Uziel. After school, Uziel would spend his afternoons with his father watching and learning Naftali’s metalworking secrets and artistic style.
Uziel and his team continue to make unique Judaica in the tradition of Naftali; each piece from concept to creation is made with love, care, and concern.
