Benny Movshavitz was one of the founding families to re-establish Jewish life adjacent to the ancient Jewish City of Susya. Benny learned the art of apiary when he was a youngster. Following the Yom Kippur War a neighbor was left devastated having lost both of his sons. Benny immediately offered to help him with his bee-keeping and together they worked the land, with Benny’s neighbor sharing his wisdom and knowledge.
Benny is famous for his natural honey that he lovingly harvests from hives in various regions of Judea. The flavor of each honey is influenced by the life of the bees and the different flowers that they pollinate. Over the years Benny has learned which flowers lend themselves to the best tasting honey.
Benny’s son, Elad, has followed his fathers footsteps and established his winery, also named Drimia in Susya so you can enjoy Drimia Honey and Drimia wine, both from Susya from the Movshaviz family!
