Kiddush means “sanctification” in Hebrew. Every Shabbat or Jewish holiday opens with the recitation of a blessing said over grape juice or wine. In honor of the mitzvah of reciting kiddush, it is customary to use a kiddush cup designated for the occasion and beautiful.
Batya has designed her Grapevine Kiddush Cup and Plate as a way to dress up your Shabbat table and beautify the mitzvah of kiddush. The beautiful set is thrown by hand on the wheel and then handpainted with a beautiful vine rich with plump purple grapes. The kiddush cup has a small matching plate to protect your tablecloth from any spills.
As with all handmade items, each piece is one-of-a-kind, and minor variations from the photograph add to the beauty of your kiddush cup and plate.
